Community Law Office's mission is driven by an understanding that most of the criminal behavior in the community is symptomatic of other personal, psychological, and social dynamics. The Community Law Office is able to advocate for a fair and just process within the criminal justice system, while also increasing the clients' self-sufficiency and integration into the community, to positively impact the quality of life in Knox County.

More Details:
The initiative will serve approximately fifteen (15) individuals per quarter. To be eligible individuals must be:
- Pre-registered with a completed application submitted two weeks prior to the session defining the request and describing indigency. Representatives from the District Attorney and Public Defender offices will review these pre-registration applications. When the individual is represented by private counsel, the representing attorney must convey consent for participation.
- Working with a case manager to implement a case plan that is focused on accessing and maintaining permanent housing.
