Description:
The Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program (SSVF) promotes housing stability among very low-income veteran families who reside in or are transitioning to permanent housing.
Hours:
Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Intake Process:
Screening is the first step of the intake process. Veterans must complete an SSVF application and assessment. This confirms
a) a very low income Veteran family!s eligibility for supportive services and
b) prioritizing those families in the greatest need.
The Veteran family!s must not exceed 50% of the median income.
Our intake days are Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Applications can be obtained from the office.
The following documents will be needed when completing an application:
- Photo ID (Driver!s License, VA card, government picture ID)
- Social Security Card (to include the family members if they are on the application)
- Birth certificate (to include family members if they are on the application)
- DD214 (Veterans military separation document)
- Proof of income (VA disability, SS, SS Disability, etc)

No language services are available.
Eligibility:
- Veterans seeking SSVF services must complete 1 day of active duty service (this includes Basic Training and AIT training).
- Must not have an honorable discharge or discharge by way of a court martial.
- A member of a veteran family: either a veteran, a member of a family in which the head of household is a veteran, or the spouse of the head of household is a veteran.
- Very low-income: household income cannot exceed 50 percent of area median income.
- Occupy permanent housing in one of the three categories:
1. Is residing in permanent housing
2. Is homeless and is scheduled to become a resident of permanent housing within 90 days.
3. Has exited permanent housing within the previous 90 days to seek alternative low-income housing.
- A veteran and their families can be assisted 2 times in one year with utilities.
- A veteran and their families can be assisted 5 times in one year with their rent. This payment is inclusive of any arrears that have been paid.
