Coordinated Housing Assessment Match Plan | Coordinated Entry (1009) xxCE
Description:
The Coordinated Housing Assessment and Match Plan (CHAMP) is the first step in your housing search. The CHAMP is a way for agencies to coordinate so that everyone in Knoxville who is homeless will have their housing needs assessed and will have access to all of the programs they are eligible for. Once you have completed the CHAMP intake, you will receive referrals based on your needs. Please be aware that completing the CHAMP does not guarantee housing, and it is possible that you may not be eligible for any programs.
Hours:
CHAMP hours are specific to the following intake agencies:
- Call 211 telephone information-line, 7 Days a Week from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Call 911 for a life-threatening emergency
- Volunteers for America, Tuesday and Thursday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- CAC Homeward Bound, Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
- Volunteer Ministry Center Refuge, Monday - Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Intake Process:
If you are homeless and fleeing domestic violence, contact the Family Justice Center.
If you are homeless, staying in a shelter, outside, or in a car, and are:
- a Military Veteran: contact Volunteers of America.
- a Household with Minor Children: contact CAC Homeward Bound.
- on your own and 21 or younger: contact CAC Homeward Bound.
- a household containing only you and/or other adults: contact Volunteer Ministry Center Refuge.
If you are not staying in shelter, outside, in a car, or fleeing domestic violence call East Tennessee 211 by dialing 211.
Program Fees:
No fees are associated with screening and referrals.
Eligibility:
