Description:
CAC is a public agency serving citizens of Knoxville and Knox County's low to moderate income families, the unemployed and underemployed, persons with disabilities, and other individuals with special need for services.
Families in Need (FIN)--Provides homeless families with case management, comprehensive family development planning, supportive services, and life skills training to prepare for and maintain permanent housing.
Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00--4:45 PM
Intake Process:
Materials required for intake include:
Verification of Homelessness (for Homeless Assistance)
Proof of Household Income
If Domestic Violence Victim--order of protection or letter from agency that can verify status preferred but self declaration accepted
Program Fees:
No program fees.
Languages:
Translator services are available.
Eligibility:
For Homeless Assistance services: Household must meet HUD's literally homelessness definition and not have any other social or financial supports vailable to help regain housing. The household must include at least one minor child. Limitation on financial assistance. Waiting list may apply.
